Cookie policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) are small data files stored by your browser. They help the website work or — with your consent — provide insight into usage.

2. Your choice

On your first visit we ask for consent via the cookie banner. Necessary storage is always active. Analytics and functional tools stay off until you accept them. You can change your choice later via in the footer, or above.

Legal basis: for non-essential cookies that is your consent (Art. 11.7a Dutch Telecommunications Act / ePrivacy), in line with the GDPR. We also store a language preference cookie (lynx_locale) when you choose NL or EN, or when we redirect based on country.

4. Analytics (opt-in)

With consent we measure pageviews, bounce, session duration and internal click paths on our own server (SQLite). We also load Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings. The OpenAI Ads pixel SDK may load early, but OpenAI conversion measurement only runs after analytics consent (via OpenAI's consent API). We do not use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. The visitor id for first-party analytics is stored hashed; we do not keep IP addresses for that analytics.

5. Functional (opt-in)

Site pages may load a chatbot via bots.lynx-media.nl, and /en/meeting may load Cal.com to book appointments. That happens only after functional consent. Without consent you can still book via a direct Cal.com link or via contact.

6. Marketing / conversion (opt-in)

The OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel (oaiq via bzrcdn.openai.com) loads early so attribution parameters (such as oppref) are preserved. Measurement stays off by default; only after analytics consent do we set OpenAI consent to true and send events. Without that consent, no measurement events are sent. No Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags or other ad networks are active.
