Pangiwinkel — From idea to inclusive platform

Pangiwinkel.nl is an innovative e-commerce platform that harnesses the power of community commerce. It enables private sellers to offer their own products easily — all within one trusted, clear environment. For this project we not only developed the full website in WordPress and WooCommerce, but also delivered a custom multi-vendor system.

1. Understanding what makes Pangiwinkel unique

The brief was clear: an online shop where anyone — from hobbyist to small entrepreneur — can start their own shop.

Client goals: Build a user-friendly platform that feels like a marketplace but works like a professional web shop.

User insight: Sellers needed to be able to sign up with low friction, while buyers experience trust and clarity at every step of the purchase journey.

2. Structure & system architecture

In this phase we took a critical look at the platform’s technical requirements.

Multi-vendor concept: We designed the site with scalability and flexibility in mind. Private sellers each get their own dashboard, product management and order overview.

Technical foundations: By extending WooCommerce intelligently and combining powerful plugins with custom code, we could tune the platform precisely to the client’s requirements.

3. Custom code as the engine of the platform

This is where the real development work began — with work built to order.

Custom code: To deliver specific requirements such as automatic seller approval and product verification, substantial hand-written code was required.

Test scenarios: We ran multiple accounts and purchase scenarios to identify bugs and bottlenecks.

Optimisations: Seller flow simplified, communication automated and UX optimised for mobile.
