Plamuren.com: The complete web shop for damage repair

Plamuren.com is a specialised web shop for professional filler, sanding and paint products, aimed at both tradespeople and DIY users. For this client we built a completely new Shopify web shop with an extensive product range, multilingual support and a checkout optimised for conversion.

The web shop replaces the old platform and serves as the company’s central sales channel. Design, navigation structure and all technical functionality were developed to order to guide visitors quickly to the right product and keep the barrier to ordering as low as possible.

1. A niche market needs a specialised web shop

Plamuren.com serves a specific audience: professionals and private individuals working on damage repair for cars, boats and other objects. The web shop needed to radiate that specialism immediately.

Client goals: A clear, professional web shop that builds trust, presents the full range clearly and serves both B2C and B2B customers.

User insight: The audience wants to find the right product quickly without endless searching. A logical category structure, clear product information and sharp pricing are essential.

2. A Shopify web shop built for growth

Based on the client’s requirements, we developed a fully custom-configured Shopify theme with custom sections and a navigation structure that fits the extensive range.

Custom navigation: A mega menu with product images per category, so visitors see at a glance what is available in each category — from fillers and primers to sanding materials, paints, machines and accessories.

Multilingual and multi-region: The web shop is fully available in Dutch, German and English, with support for the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Including language and region selection with flags in the header.

Responsiveness: Fully optimised for mobile, tablet and desktop, with an emphasis on speed and ease of use on every device.

3. Conversion-focused from product page to checkout

Alongside the design we configured the full shop functionality to maximise conversion.

Trust signals: A USP bar with free shipping from €75, free returns within 60 days and next-day delivery. Combined with customer reviews at product level and a brand bar with well-known names such as Mirka, 3M, Finixa and Airo Chemie.

Payments: Broad payment support via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, PayPal, Bancontact, iDEAL, Mastercard, Visa and Shop Pay.

Customer accounts and B2B: A full customer portal with login and a dedicated business page for B2B customers.

Content marketing: A blog with professional repair advice, aimed at SEO and attracting organic traffic. Think of articles such as “Which type of filler do I need?” and “How can I repair my polyester boat myself?”.

4. From niche idea to full sales platform

The web shop went live with a complete range of non-paint products, a professional look and all technical provisions to sell nationally and internationally.

Tech stack:

  • Platform: Shopify

  • Theme: Custom-configured Shopify theme

  • Multilingual: Shopify Markets

Extra features:

  • Accessibility mode

  • WhatsApp integration

  • Newsletter integration with €5 welcome discount

  • An applications page where visitors find products based on their project (car, bodywork, yacht)

Result

Plamuren.com is not a standard Shopify web shop, but a purpose-built sales platform that brings a niche product group online professionally. The shop loads quickly, navigates intuitively and is fully prepared for international growth. Exactly what you expect from a web shop that wants to make damage repair accessible for everyone.
